Event Overview:

Conference for maritime electrification, decarbonisation and GHG reduction solutions

Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo North America Exhibition and Conference, to be held at Long Beach Convention Center, USA, March 13 & 14, 2024, is dedicated solely to showcasing the very latest and next-generation electric and hybrid marine propulsion technologies, charging equipment, and fuel-saving solutions. Targeting the North American market, the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo is the only exhibition and conference that will showcase these emerging efficient technologies and components to an audience of shipowners and operators, boat builders, shipyards, propulsion system designers and manufacturers, naval architects, military fleet operators/chiefs and port operators, all interested in exploring ways to decarbonise and the path to zero-emission shipping.

Nothing but green marine propulsion systems, emission-reduction fuels, hybrid systems, charging technologies, and, of course, the components within them will be on display and the only visitors invited to attend will be those who purchase and specify marine charging infrastructures, vessel engines, and components. Every single exhibit will be of relevance to every single visitor, and the only thing visitors will be searching for is cleaner, more efficient, fuel-saving propulsion systems.

Event in Profile

The ship.energy summit is returning to Spain in 2023 to deliver a high-level debate on the rate of progress in the decarbonisation of shipping and ports. This year’s event will be held on 27 April at the Higher Technical School of Naval Engineers, part of the prestigious Technical University of Madrid. It will continue looking at the global narrative of shipping’s energy transition, and, as always, the conference sessions will reference and be informed by case studies whether they be start-up initiatives or projects that are well on the way to commercialisation and scalability.

The main focus of the summit will be on fuel and technology supply chains. Speakers will discuss the decarbonisation challenges presented in each ‘link’ of these chains and will assess whether sufficient progress is being made to deliver on the IMO’s 2030 and 2050 targets. By taking a deliberately linear approach to these timelines, delegates will be able to assess where there are supply chain gaps to be closed and where the pace of development needs to be stepped up.
