Jae-hoon Bae, President & CEO of HMM, starts to accelerate the pace of overseas on-site management following his visit to the sites in Korea.

Mr. Bae departed for London, UK on April 22 to strengthen business relationships with not only major customers in Europe but global top-rated carriers, and return to Korea on April 26.

Mr. Bae plans to visit the European headquarter of HMM, located in London, to encourage its employees and make sales strategies based on the character of each region after gathering various opinions from the site.

Opinions on IMO 2020

He will lead an effort to reinforce the trust of its valued customers through business meetings. Mr. Bae is scheduled to converse with Ki-tack Lim, the Secretary General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to share opinions and views on the IMO 2020 environmental regulation and upcoming regulatory measures on CO2 emissions.

He also strives to consolidate the relationship with 2M, Maersk and MSC, currently under an agreement of strategic cooperation with HMM, by visiting Denmark and Switzerland.
