New container ship added to FESCO fleet

Container ship with a capacity of 822 TEU will be operated on FESCO Magadan cabotage service (FML), which already includes the FESCO Magadan sister ship, purchased in 2018, and FESCO Posyet universal bulk carrier. FESCO Moneron container ship is planned to be put on the line at the end of 2019 or in the beginning of 2020 at the latest.

Arc4 ice class of the vessel complies with the standards needed for work in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk in winter. The ship is fitted with modern equipment and has a high degree of automation.

The crew consists of 14 people and is managed by captain Arayik Arutuynyan. The vessel got its name after Moneron island situated in the Gulf of Tartary 43 kilometers from the southwest coast of Sakhalin. The island was discovered in August 1787 by the expedition of La Perouse, who named it Moneron after his associate Paul Monneron.

Cargo transportation

FML service provides transportation of any cargo in dry and reefer containers (COC and SOC) by sea and multimodal rail/water transport, as well as transportation of any general cargo on rotation Vladivostok/Vostochniy – Magadan – Vladivostok/Vostochniy.
