Now a firm fixture in the national maritime calendar, The Mersey Maritime Exchange will take place on Thursday 22nd June 2023, in the brand new, state-of-the-art, The Tung Auditorium.

The Mersey Maritime Exchange was originally conceived in 2019, in response to the Government’s Maritime 2050 report which set out the future of the sector over the next three decades. At the heart of the report was a commitment to technological transformation, decarbonisation and a more inclusive, highly-trained workforce.

Technology & Innovation and People & Skills

Exchange will now offer delegates a full day’s agenda exploring two of the most pressing themes for industry

The exchange has gone from strength to strength over the last five years – attracting industry-pioneering speakers and ministers, as well as delegates from across the length and breadth of the UK.

Following its success, the exchange will now offer delegates a full day’s agenda exploring two of the most pressing themes for our industry; Technology & Innovation and People & Skills. The conference will also be followed by an evening reception dinner. Companies in attendance will hear about specific opportunities to get involved in key projects and initiatives as well as network with colleagues from across the breadth and depth of the UK’s maritime industries.

Author's quote

Chris Shirling-Rooke, Chief Executive Officer at Mersey Maritime commented: “We are delighted and honoured to host the UK’s premier Maritime Exchange Conference again in Liverpool for the fifth year running. The conference shows the real confidence that industry and government have in both Mersey Maritime and our wider eco-system."

He adds, "We will be hearing from some of the most influential maritime stakeholders not just from the UK but globally too as well as a number of key industry announcements. Keep an eye out over the coming weeks for further announcements on speakers, sponsors and how to book tickets. Get in early to avoid any disappointment!”
