Ahlsell Norway AS has agreed to purchase all shares in Protektiv AS. The company was founded in 1992 and specialises in workwear and Personal Protection Equipment, as well as having an extensive printing business.

The company employs 28 people and the turnover in 2022 amounted to 82 MNOK.

Expertise and presence

The store, warehouse, and offices are located in Skien, where they deliver goods and services to both large and small customers in Östlandet, south of Oslo.

With its wide range of products, in-depth expertise, and strong local presence, the company has seen significant success.

Making PPE accessible

Ahlsell's offering to professional customers in industry, construction, HVAC, and health, will be strengthened

Through this acquisition, Ahlsell's offering to professional customers in areas such as industry, construction, HVAC, and health, will be strengthened.

They will have access to an even wider range of products, printing services, and specialist expertise in workwear and protective equipment. Simultaneously, the acquisition will make Ahlsell's complementary product assortment more accessible to Protektiv's customers.

Sustainability

Ahlsell has a strong focus on sustainability as a central part of its overall strategy.

Through Protektiv's clear environmental profile, which includes specific measures such as proprietary solar power facilities, geothermal heating, reduction in plastic packaging, and use of disposable products, this acquisition is also strategically important in Ahlsell's ambition to build a more sustainable society. Closing is expected to take place in early February 2024.
