Arkas and its VSA partner - Cosco are starting a seasonal reefer service, under the name of Mersin-Russia Express, MER Service by the 43rd week from Mersin.

This new joint reefer service addresses customers who are mainly shipping perishable cargo and want to leverage the reliable and fast transport service by sea.

Weekly service

With a lead time of 4 days port-to-port between Mersin and Novorossiysk, MER connects Turkish perishable products with the Russian market on weekly basis.

The weekly rotation will be Mersin – Novorossiysk – Mersin. First sailing will be from Mersin on October, 24th 2018. The two carriers’ VSA will be maintained with Arkas Line operating 1 out of 2 vessels, with an average 450 plug capacity. Sealand-A Maersk Company will participate under a slot space agreement on this service.
