On 1st January, 2023, Magdalena Bosson will become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ports of Stockholm. With many years of experience within the Stockholm City Council, she takes over the helm and will continue the development of the Ports of Stockholm.

On 1st December, Stockholms Hamn AB’s Board of Directors appointed Magdalena Bosson as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ports of Stockholm.

Extensive industry experience

Magdalena Bosson has many years extensive experience from her previous roles, which includes Transport Department Director at Stockholm City Council, Chief Executive Officer at Familjebostäder, Deputy County Governor of the County Administrative Board of Stockholm, Municipality of Huddinge Deputy Director and most recently as Stockholm City Manager.

She has an eminently suitable background with extensive experience of driving infrastructure issues and leading politically governed organisations,” says Clara Lindblom, the Chair of the Board of Ports of Stockholm.

New Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Ports of Stockholm

I have followed the development of the ports in my previous roles and I am very happy to now be taking over as Chief Executive Officer for Ports of Stockholm. Developing vital infrastructure for sustainable transport to and from the Stockholm Region, together with our customers and colleagues, will be very rewarding,” says Magdalena Bosson, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Ports of Stockholm.

Thomas Andersson, who has been Ports of Stockholm’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for four years, will now take the post of Executive Director of the City of Stockholm Development Administration.

Developing important sustainability projects

Thomas Andersson said, “These have been intensive and exciting years. Being able to open Stockholm Norvik Port, navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic and time of crisis, as well as developing the business, both through important sustainability projects and with new customers, has been incredibly satisfying. A huge thank you to all of my dedicated colleagues and customers for such good collaboration.

Thomas Andersson leaves the Ports of Stockholm on 14th December, 2022, with Alexandra Lindström, the current Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at the company stepping in as the temporary Chief Executive Officer (CEO) until 1st January, 2023, when Magdalena Bosson takes up her new position.
