The theme for World Maritime Day reflects the need to support a green transition of the maritime sector into a more sustainable future, providing an opportunity to focus more on eco-friendly and responsible solutions and initiatives in our industry.

Wrist Ship Supply pays tribute to World Maritime Day, highly supporting the green transition of the ship and offshore supply industry in alignment with the ESG Framework.

GHG emissions reduction

Wrist Ship Supply aims to transition from non-renewable to renewable electricity in warehouses and offices

To reduce GHG emissions from electricity, Wrist Ship Supply aims to transition from non-renewable to renewable electricity in warehouses and offices, by investing in certified renewable electricity, such as solar panels.

Recently, Saga Shipping, part of Wrist Group, launched several initiatives to reduce fossil fuels and reduce energy, hereunder relying on renewable energy sources.

Wrist Ship Supply installed 182 solar panels on top of the warehouse roof saving warehouse electricity expenses and reducing fossil energy.

Creating awareness

To reduce GHG emissions from fossil fuels, Wrist Ship Supply is also currently updating its company car policy to support the choice of cars with lower emissions. Thus, creating awareness about electric and hybrid cars, and moving away from conventional cars using only fossil fuels.

In 2022, 5 electric cars and 4 plug-in hybrid cars have replaced 9 fossil-fueled cars, and more electric and hybrid cars have been ordered and are expected to be delivered before the end of 2022.
