Dafo Vehicle, a pioneer in safety for vehicles in high-risk industries, has promoted Fredrik Rosén to the position of Business Line Manager for Material Handling.

As a key member of Dafo Vehicle since the division’s inception, Rosén has played an integral role in Dafo Vehicle’s success. His transition from Business Manager - Middle East and Africa and Marketing Manager reflects a strategic change in the business to focus and strengthen the support and knowledge in this key sector of material handling for Dafo Vehicle’s global customer base.

Following the new appointment, Rosén will be attending the Autumn Port Equipment Manufacturing Association (PEMA) meeting on 10-11th October in Miami. The meeting will inform a position paper in the draft of an investigation currently being conducted.

An appointed Task Group’s investigation will inform those working in the industry of the importance of fire suppression systems installed on port equipment in order to ensure maximum safety in ports. 

The objective of the paper is also set to gauge support from insurance companies, port operators, AHJs and other relevant stakeholders to influence the mandatory use of fire suppression systems on these high-risk vehicles to improve the safety of ports globally.

Drive innovation and safety in ports environment
