The maritime industries come together through Maritime UK to make progress on key areas of shared interest. Maritime UK’s national priorities are people, competitiveness, regional growth, environment, and innovation.

Isle of Man Maritime is the latest organisation to join the national umbrella body, Maritime UK

Isle of Man Maritime is the latest organisation to join the national umbrella body, Maritime UK, aligning with a variety of organisations that work together to champion and enable a thriving maritime sector.

Isle of Man Maritime is a not-for-profit organisation, which was formed to develop, support and promote the Isle of Man’s growing maritime sector.

The key objectives of Isle of Man Maritime are:

  • To provide a forum to discuss ideas, opportunities and issues related to the Isle of Man Maritime sector;
  • To provide unified industry perspective and feedback to the Isle of Man Government on proposed legislative changes and government initiatives affecting the Isle of Man maritime sector;
  • To protect and promote globally the interests of the Isle of Man maritime sector; and
  • To maintain a continuing dialogue and work closely with the Isle of Man Ship Registry.

Lesley Walker, the Director of Isle of Man Maritime, said: “Isle of Man Maritime is proud to join Maritime UK, a renowned industry association that brings together the best in British maritime expertise. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for us and is testament to our commitment in supporting and developing our maritime sector, fostering innovation, sustainability, and growth.

She adds, “We believe that through this partnership, we can collectively address the challenges and opportunities facing the maritime sector, and together, we can contribute to the continued success of the maritime industry in the Isle of Man and the broader United Kingdom."
