Product description
Compressor Oils: Capella WF 32, 68
The Capella® WF series by Chevron is a superior quality, wax-free oil specifically designed for refrigeration and air conditioning compressors. Ideal for systems using ammonia, carbon dioxide, and various halogenated refrigerants, this lubricant is formulated from select naphthenic base oils to meet high industry standards.
Key Technical Features
- ISO Viscosity Grade: 32 and 68
- Optimal low-temperature properties with a pour point of -39°C
- High thermal and oxidation stability to prevent varnish and sludge
- Manufactured to resist moisture
Performance Benefits
- Efficient Operation: Extremely low pour and freon floc points facilitate smooth operation in low temperatures, maintaining flow line cleanliness and evaporator efficiency.
- Minimum Downtime: Superior stability minimises the formation of varnish and sludge, ensuring longer drain intervals.
- Lower Maintenance Costs: Exceptional lubricity reduces wear on components, decreasing downtime and associated costs.
Ideal Use Cases
The Capella WF oils are excellent for ammonia systems with evaporator temperatures as low as -50°C and fluorinated hydrocarbon systems with temperature ranges between -45°C to -25°C. The series is recommended for use in compressors from major manufacturers such as Bitzer, Carrier, and York.
Capella WF complies with DIN 51503 and BS 2626:1992 standards, ensuring reliability and performance across a range of refrigeration applications.
